Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd. (KSSFCL) organized two back-to-back contact programs in Koppal and Raichur districts on July 25 and 26, 2025, aimed at strengthening the functioning of Souharda Cooperatives and fostering direct engagement with local stakeholders.
The first event was held at NCH Palace, Koppal. It was inaugurated by KSSFCL president G Nanjana Gowda and presided over by director Sridhar. The program saw participation from Channabasappa Kadipudi, president of the Koppal District Union of Souharda Cooperatives, and former president Nagalingappa Pattara. Also present were RKDCC Bank director and regional officer Suryakanth Ryakale.
During the session, Gowda interacted with local cooperators and handed over keys of Common Service Centres to two Souharda Cooperatives, marking a step forward in expanding service access and digital facilities. Ryakale spoke about the roles and responsibilities of cooperative directors, underlining the importance of governance, accountability, and leadership in the cooperative structure.
The following day, the contact program continued in Manvi, Raichur district. Gowda once again inaugurated the event, while KSSFCL director Thimmaiah Shetty presided. The meeting featured district union president M Doddabasavaraj as chief guest, with other key participants including RKDCC Bank director Somanagouda Badarli, directors Mallanagouda Nakkundi and Nagaratnamma Patil, and regional officer Suryakanth Ryakale.
In line with the previous day’s agenda, Gowda handed over keys to Common Service Centres to two more Souharda Cooperatives from the Raichur region. These centers are expected to facilitate better public service delivery and cooperative member engagement at the grassroots level.
Regional officer Ryakale and SDO Nataraj offered detailed briefings on the expected conduct, duties, and strategic importance of cooperative directors, encouraging a proactive and legally sound approach to cooperative governance.
The two-day program served as a platform for direct dialogue, capacity building, and infrastructural empowerment. KSSFCL’s initiative to establish Common Service Centres and educate directors reflects its commitment to strengthening the Souharda cooperative network and deepening its impact across Karnataka’s rural landscape.
