In collusion with Indore Development Authority, Cooperative Dept and Vikas Apartment Housing Cooperative Society of Indore have cheated members of the housing society by not delivering on promise to give members their plots even after a long period of 25 years.
The Lok Ayukta sources have brought this major land scam to light. As per complaints lodged with the Lok Ayukta , the society has already sold many plots and put several others on the block. The society had bought several thousands of hectares of land way back in 1972.
Some years ago, the society was dissolved and a cooperative official appointed to manage it. The society is still under the control of the administrator.
After all their efforts had failed, the society members finally petitioned the local consumer forum which has passed an order in favour of them. However, despite this order they have yet to get their plots. The society is sitting tight on the matter.
Meanwhile, the Lok Ayukta police have quickened the pace of investigation putting the scam tainted officials of all the three organizations involved in the scam under the scanner.
