IFFCO becomes one of the firsts to attune bylaws with MSCS Act 2023

The fertilizer cooperative IFFCO organized a special meeting of the general body in the NCUI Auditorium on Friday for taking the approval of the shareholders in amending the by-laws of IFFCO as per the amendments made in the Multi State Cooperative Societies Act 2023.

The shareholders, who came from different parts of the country, unanimously passed the agenda items and gave their unconditional approval for amending the by-laws of the fertiliser cooperative.

On this occasion, discussions were also held on IFFCO Nano Urea and Nano DAP and the platform was also provided to delegates to share their views. The Special General Body meeting concluded on a positive note.

During the meeting, two-minute silence was observed in the memory of B S Vishwanathan. Delegates prayed to the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul.

Addressing the delegates, IFFCO Chairman Dileepbhai Sanghani gave a brief highlight on the recently amended Multi State Cooperative Societies Act and informed the august gathering that it was the need of hour to amend the by-laws of IFFCO to attune them with the MSCS Act 2023.

Sanghani also used the opportunity to convey his views on the Nano range of fertilizers before the audience. “IFFCO has developed Nano Urea and DAP which are becoming popular among the farmers. IFFCO has recently made an order to purchase 2500 drones for spraying the Nano Urea and DAP in the fields of farmers. Many other new things are in the pipeline which are in the interest of farmers of the country”, said Sanghani.

Speaking on the occasion, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi said, “The fertilizer cooperative is always ahead of the time and added “perhaps we are the first one to amend the by-laws in the wake of the amended Multi State Cooperative Societies Act”. The new provisions like Cooperative Election Authority, Cooperative Information Officer and others have been inserted”.

“The cooperative election authority ensures conducting elections in a free and transparent manner. Besides, IFFCO has appointed Ms. Lipi Solanki as the Cooperative Information Officer, through which any member can take the details by sending it through mail”, Awasthi apprised.

Awasthi further added, Union Ministry of Cooperation has launched several new initiatives in the interest of PACS and the details on this can be accessed by going on their website. IFFCO in-house magazine ‘Sahakar Uday’ also highlighted the details of new initiatives. The member societies can avail the benefit of central schemes.

Biscomaun Chairman Sunil’s entering the NCUI Auditorium with his wife Bandana Singh, coincided with the speech of IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi. Halting his speech Dr Awasthi asked him to come on the stage with his wife. During the meeting, the delegates were waiting for Sunil’s speech, who later on regaled the audience with his words.

During the meeting, Srinivas Gowda, Shreya Guha, Sadhana Jadhav, Manvendra Singh, IFFCO Joint MD Rakesh Kapur, R P Singh, Yogendra Kumar, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh and others were present.

IFFCO Vice-Chairman Balvir Singh proposed a vote of thanks.

IFFCO Jt. General Manager (Cooperative Development) Santosh Sukhla anchored the event successfully.
