Himachal Chief Minister an ardent supporter of the cooperative movement could not help expatiating on the virtues of it when recently addressing a function of Kangra Cooperative Bank in Una district. He said the cooperative institutions could play a vital role in the development of Himachal Pradesh.
He has asked officials to work out a comprehensive plan for the development of marketing facilities for agricultural produce in the state.
The Chief Minister was all praise for efforts being made at establishing marketing facilities especially at Parala and Kotkhai. According to him, these facilities would make agriculture an attractive option.
The cooperative banks are doing an admirable job in the state and it is evident from the sizeable profits they are earning, added Chief Minister.
