Gujarat: Jayesh Radadia’s cooperative connection

Jayesh Radadia, the son of IFFCO Vice-president Vittalbhai Radadia has once again been inducted in the newly formed cabinet of Vijay Rupani who took oath as the CM in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and others on Tuesday in Gandhinagar.

Besides being the son of IFFCO’s Vice-Chairman, junior Radadia is a cooperator in his own right. He is on the board of Rajkot District Co-Operative Bank.

Hailing Jayesh’s induction IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi tweeted “ Heartiest congratulations to Sh.Jayeshbhai Radadiya for taking an oath as a cabinet minister. Your youth enthusiasm & dynamism will certainly add value & progress for the state.”

Awasthi used the occasion to congratulate Vijay Rupani also on his second innings. ”Your vision & leadership will take the state to a new path of development & prosperity’”, MD said in a tweet.

Jayesh was Minister in the last Rupani Cabinet as well. Active since student days, Jayesh cut his teeth on politics by contesting for the 12th Gujarat Legislative Assembly. In the year 2012, Jayesh joined BJP  along with his father in the presence of Narendrabhai Modi.

Vithalbhai Radadiya, Jayesh’s father is a Member of Parliament from Porbandar and is also the Vice-Chairman of the world’s largest fertilizer cooperative IFFCO. Radadia has been a Director in IFFCO for more than a decade.

A total of eight cabinet ministers and 10 ministers of state took oath. Jayesh had been inducted as the Cabinet Minister. The newly-elected cabinet was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor OP Kohli at a grand ceremony.

Modi, Shah and chief ministers of various BJP-ruled states attended the ceremony. BJP patriarch L K Advani was also present on the occasion.
