Guj State Co-op Union holds co-op seminar

State Level Youth Co-operative Seminar was recently held under the aegis of Gujarat State Co-operative Union at Anand College of Legal Studies where hundreds of student participated. Dr Rekha Kumari Singh, Principal of Anand College of Legal Studies welcomed the guests.

More than 300 students from across Gujarat participated in the seminar. Ghanshyambhai H. Amin, Vice President of National Co-operative Union, of India and Chairman of Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Shri C. D. Patel, Director of State Co-operative Union, Shri Hemantbhai Patel, President of Ramkrishna Seva Mandal, Shri Shitalbhai Bhatt, Executive Officer of Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Dr. Amitkumar Parmar, Principal of Anand College and Shri Rajnikant J. Patel, Vice President of Anand District Co-operative Union, graced the occasion.

In his inaugural speech, Amin said the prime objective of co-operative activities is to create a society free from exploitation irrespective of caste, community and creed. He also detailed the advantages and activities of the co-operative sector.

In his remarks, C.D. Patel, Director of State Co-operative Union said transformation does not take place through academic degrees by extending the helping hand to the new people of the society.

Explaining the blueprint, objectives and importance of co-operative seminar Shitalbhai Bhatt, Executive Officer of Gujarat State Co-operative Union, stated that there is a valuable contribution of co-operative activities in the economic development.

Presiding over the seminar, Hemantbhai Patel, President of Ramkrishna Mandal said that it’s a matter of pride that the students of Law College have associated themselves with the co-operative sector through this co-operative seminar. Whereas Dr. Amitkumar Parmar, Principal of Anand Law College, explained the detailed history of co-operative activities right from 1844.

J. Shah, Training Director of Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Ahmedabad explained the entire process and procedure of the registration of co-operative societies and their management in detail. Alpeshbhai Raval, Education Officer of Gujarat State Co-operative Union, offered information on various co-operative institutes.

Shitalbhai Bhatt of Gujarat State Co-operative Union, and Dr. K.C. Bhartiya and  Nileshbhai Shah proposed a vote of thanks.
