On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, co-operators across the country joined in expressing good wishes and Diwali greetings to one and all. With more than 37 crore Indians being part of the cooperative fraternity in the country, co-op behemoths such as IFFCO, Amul, Kribhco, and others greeted their lakhs of members in their own style.
Led by President of the apex body NCUI Dileep Sanghani, several top-notch co-operators took to social media greeting the nation on the occasion of the festival of lights. Sanghani wrote, “Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali, the festival of light and happiness. May this festival bring happiness and prosperity in your life”.
IFFCO MD Dr. U S Awasthi wrote, “I wish everyone a very #HappyDiwali. May this divine festival of lights make you shine with peace, prosperity, happiness & keep you healthy. My best festive wishes to all farmers, cooperators & everyone related to #IFFCO. #StaySafe from #Corona. ? #SayNotoCrackers”
Indian Cooperative found homebound Dr Awasthi busy receiving guests throughout the day. Shakila, a representative of women co-operative from Qazigund Kulgam from Kashmir, came with the co-op produced gifts to greet Awasthi. Another team from Aonla Unit was also there to greet the Awasthi family.
In his message, Kribhco Chairman Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav wrote, “I wish a happy and prosperous Deepawali to our fellow countryman and pray that lord Ganesha and Ma Laxmi be always benevolent on the cooperative sector and on the people connected with it.”
Amul, the Indian dairy cooperative society, released a topical ad on the eve of the festival of Lights. The official Twitter handle of Amul wrote, “#Amul Topical: Wishing everyone a happy and joyful Diwali!”
Social media was flooded with messages from many other co-operators including Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh, Meerut DCCB Chairman Satyapal Singh, and other local cooperators of respective states.
Sunil Kumar Singh shared the photos and wished his followers through his Facebook wall. “May this festival of light end all the darkness of your life and bring the light of happiness, peace, and prosperity in your life”, he tweeted.
The WhatsApp group known as “Bharatiya Sahakari Samvad” comprises cooperators across the country who wished each other on Diwali.
Another WhatsApp group run by Sahakar Bharati Karyakartas, known as “Bina Sahakar Nahi Sanskar” also greeted its members. There are three-four more WhatsApp groups run by co-operators of different regions which recorded a number of reactions on the occasion of Deepawali.
