Cooperators observe 71st R’ Day with enthusiasm; join PM in chorus

As the power of Indian tanks was visible on the Rajpath, so was the spirit of cooperators across the country. On the occasion of Republic Day, news have poured in from across the states about cooperative leaders celebrating the 71st Republic Day with great enthusiasm.

Union Agriculture & Cooperation Minister Narendra Singh Tomar wished the country on the occasion through social media and wrote, “Heartiest greetings to all countrymen on the 71st Republic Day!”

In his message on the occasion, National Cooperative Union of India President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav said “On this day I urge fellow cooperators to take an oath to take cooperative movement to newer heights. Happy Republic Day!

IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi wished the country through social media and wrote, “Heartiest Greetings & Best Wishes of 71st #RepublicDay to everyone. Let’s pledge to empower our #farmers & increase #agriculture output in terms of quality & quantity for our #foodsecurity. Let’s also change the lives of our #farmers who work hard to ensure food for all. #IFFCO”.

Awasthi hoisted the National Flag at IFFCO’s Phulpur Unit in Uttar Pradesh, amidst a large number of IFFCO employees.

Sharing the greetings on the occasion of Republic Day, NAFCUB President Jyotindrabhai Mehta wrote on his Facebook wall, “We the People of India. World’s largest Democracy”.

News of the celebrations by cooperators also came in from Bihar, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh and other parts of the country. Dileep Sanghani, Nafscob President also unfurled the tricolor on the occasion.

Biscomaun Chairman, Dr Sunil Kumar Singh, who is currently engaged in organizing a mega co-op conference in February in Patna also wished his R Day greetings to fellow co-operators. Several of its marketing centers including Ghorasahan Farmer Service Center hoisted the National Flag and posted the same on social media.

Similarly, officials of Purnea District Central Cooperative Bank officials also hoisted flag in their premises and sang the National Anthem Jan Gan Man.

On the occasion of the Republic Day, a flag was hoisted at Kalachappana Awade Janata Sahakari Bank by the Chairman and MLA Prakash Awade.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage at the National War Memorial. “India will always be grateful to the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation. Their exemplary service motivates crores of Indians”, he wrote on Twitter.

Indian Cooperative joins the nation and co-operators in wishing a happy Republic Day to the countrymen. Long live India and long live cooperative movement!
