Cooperators celebrate R Day with fervour; reports from across India

On the 77th Republic Day, cooperators and cooperative institutions from across the country came together to celebrate the occasion with great enthusiasm. From national-level organizations to state, district, and village-level societies, the tricolour was unfurled at respective premises, reflecting the spirit of unity, patriotism, and commitment to nation-building.

Dileepbhai Sanghani, President of IFFCO, celebrated Republic Day with the staff and people at the IFFCO Aonla Unit. He hoisted the national flag and engaged in several interactions, including a meeting with Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dharmpal Singh.

He also paid tribute to IFFCO’s founder chairman, Udaybhan Singh, recalling his vision for the cooperative movement. During his travel from Bareilly to Dataganj, he received a warm welcome from local farmers, highlighting the strong bond between cooperatives and rural communities.

Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, President of ICA-AP, celebrated the day with students at Govind Das Kanya Inter College, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. He hoisted the national flag and released a video message, honoring freedom fighters and inspiring the younger generation to uphold the values of independence and democracy.

Kribhco Chairman V. Sudhakar Chowdary wrote, “On this national day of pride-Republic Day-warm greetings to all. Let us reaffirm our commitment to empowering farmers, strengthening Indian agriculture, and contributing to a stronger, self-reliant nation.”

IFFCO Managing Director Kiritkumar Patel also addressed the IFFCO family from the Paradeep Unit. On this occasion, he proudly unfurled the Tiranga, symbolizing the cooperative sector’s commitment to a self-reliant and prosperous India. “As guardians of India’s farmers and cooperatives, we reaffirm our dedication to nourish the soil, empower the tiller, serve farmers, and build a Viksit Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Jai Hind!” he said.

NCDC Managing Director Pankaj Bansal participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony at the NCDC headquarters, emphasizing unity, progress, and the timeless values of cooperation.

NAFED Chairman Jethabhai Bharwad extended warm greetings, stating, “This day highlights the strength of the Indian Republic, its rich diversity, and our deep respect for democracy and the Constitution. Unity in diversity is India’s true strength.”

NCUI Administrator Siddharth Jain, IAS, unfurled the national flag at the NCUI campus, delivering an inspiring message encouraging unity, integrity, and service to the nation. The celebrations concluded with the distribution of sweets, spreading joy and patriotic spirit.

On this day, GCMMF Chairman Ashok Chaudhary inaugurated the city’s first Amul Café at Hub Town, Mehsana. The event was attended by District BJP President Shri Girishbhai Rajgor, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Mayankbhai Nayak, Mehsana MLA Shri Mukeshbhai Patel, along with senior Amul officials and local residents. The café promises to become a hub for citizens, offering the trusted Amul promise of taste, purity, and quality.

NAFCARD Chairman Dolar Koetcha extended greetings emphasizing equality, justice, and freedom, reiterating the banking sector’s commitment to financial inclusion and empowerment through digital banking.

NCCF Chairman Vishal Singh participated in flag-hoisting ceremonies at Patliputra Cooperative Bank, Bihar Cooperative Federation, and Sahkar Bhavan, paying tribute to the tricolour and urging citizens to commit to civic responsibilities.

National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories (NFCSF) Chairman Harsverdhan Patil extended Republic Day greetings, highlighting the enduring values of freedom, equality, fraternity, and unity enshrined in the Indian Constitution and urging commitment to the nation’s progress and prosperity.

Reports of celebrations were also received from Bihar, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and other states, where cooperative leaders and members participated enthusiastically, hoisting the tricolour and paying tribute to the nation.

On India’s 77th Republic Day, cooperative banks and credit societies across the country also celebrated with pride and enthusiasm. From headquarters to regional branches, the national tricolour was unfurled, and staff and members participated in ceremonies reflecting unity, respect, and patriotism.

Saraswat Co-op Bank said, “As we celebrate Republic Day, we honour our tricolour and salute our democracy.” Cosmos Co-op Bank added, “Let’s uphold the values that have shaped our nation.” SVC Cooperative Bank held a flag-hoisting ceremony at its Corporate Office-Vakola, in the presence of Ashish Aldangadi, Deputy General Manager. The bank highlighted Republic Day as a reminder of India’s resilience and commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Adarsh Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha, Alibaug marked a historic milestone of crossing Rs 1,000 crore in total business while celebrating Republic Day with flag-hoisting.

In Telangana, Agrasen Cooperative Urban Bank’s Chairman and Board of Directors joined staff to celebrate with full enthusiasm. Maharashtra’s Rajgurunagar Sahakari Bank hosted a flag-hoisting ceremony to commemorate the occasion. At Sahayog Multi-State Cooperative Society, Chairman Jayesh Ramade hoisted the national flag and released balloons into the sky to commemorate the occasion.

On the occasion of Republic Day, IFFCO’s former Managing Director Dr. U. S. Awasthi extended his greetings to the nation and said, “Heartiest greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens on Republic Day. Let us imbibe the core values of the Constitution and contribute towards building a strong, prosperous, and self-reliant India. Jai Hind.”

Across India, these celebrations reflect the cooperative sector’s respect for the nation and its commitment to serving communities with dedication and integrity.
