Andaman and Nicobar islands has introduced a cooperative cards scheme that would ensure a hassle-free provision of pension to the aged, the widow and the physically challenged to their door.
The Lt Governor of the island gave the cooperative cards to a group of deserving people in South Andaman.
The Governor was all praise for the scheme launched by the bank.
People in general are of the view that the scheme is laudable in that it would spare the senior citizens the humiliation of having to go to the bank to ask for their benefits.
