The festival of Vijaya Dashami was celebrated with enthusiasm across the country with the NCUI President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav issuing an appeal to people to rise above caste and creed on the occasion.
Issuing a video message Yadav asked people to defeat the nefarious designs aimed at weakening the country. The festival represents victory of truth over lies, good over bad, added Chandra Pal.
Reports of co-operators celebrating the festival have also come in from various other parts of the country. WWF President Dr Nandini Azad phoned from Chennai to inform how graciously the festival was celebrated by the people over there.
Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar exhorted people to defeat the Corona virus by wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining social distance. Let us defeat the Corona this Dussehra, Tomar added.
In his message IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi said “Festival of Victory of Good over Evil inspires us. Happy Dussehra to everyone. May Lord bless us with prosperity & happiness on Dussehra”.
Awasthi also tweeted a few photographs showing he and his wife enjoying a melodious rendition of “Lok Ke Ram” by Malini Awasthi at the IFFCO’s YouTube channel.
Amul MD R S Sodhi was upbeat as Amul’s recently launched Panchamrit proved to be a great hit in this festival. Posting a photograph of Pooja Thali on Twitter, Sodhi wrote “Amul’s new
“Panchamrit” is getting popular as a Prashad thali”.
Arms worship program was organized on the occasion of Vijay Dashami at the residence of Surya Prakash Pal, President of Uttar Pradesh State Construction Cooperative Union.
On the occasion of Dussehra, Odisha based Tribal Development Cooperative Corporation wrote on their social media platform, ” Wishing you & your family a *Happy and Healthy Dussehra!!!* May the truth always win and good triumph over evil”.
