Biscomaun Chairman defends beleaguered Lalu

Even as Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi fired yet another salvo at RJD chief Lalu Yadav alleging that the family used Awami Cooperative bank to launder their black money during the demonetization drive, Lalu’s ardent fan Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh lost no time in greeting the leader on his re-election as RJP Supremo.

Lalu Prasad has been elected as the President of RJD for the 10th time in a row and Sunil was one of the first people to greet him by draping a shawl on him.

Biscomaun Chairman, however, denies Lalu Prasad’s link with Awami Co-op Bank and says Anwar Ahmed’s entry into Lalu Prasad’s residence is banned for many years.

In a whatsapp message Sunil wrote” Reaching the residence of our guardian Lalu Prasad Yadav and greeting him on his 10th successive victory; I wish him long and a happy life”, wrote Sunil. Sunil also mailed a matching photograph of the event.

Sunil, however hastened to add that a true cooperator does not dabble in politics and he has a personal equation with Lalu Prasad which does not affect his relation with leaders of other political parties. “It is a matter of personal loyalty, you know”, he said in his characteristic tone.

Meanwhile, Lalu and his families accused in cases of benami properties were targets of BJP leader and Deputy CM Modi who alleged that the cooperative bank which was being run by one of Lalu Yadav’s closest aides Anwar Ahmed relaxed bank rules for Lalu Yadav’s family to launder their money after demonetization was imposed.

In April, the CBI had searched various locations in Patna which belonged to Anwar Ahmed and his other associates.
