The news of Dileep Sanghani’s re-election to the top post of IFFCO spread rapidly across the nation, eliciting greetings from cooperators and politicians alike from various states.
Immediately after the results were announced, Sanghani received greetings from Dr. U S Awasthi and other IFFCO board members, as well as NCUI officials including CE Sudhir Mahajan and Ved Praksh Setia. Leaders like Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, Bijender Singh, and Sunil Kumar Singh also extended their congratulations.
Sanghani coincidentally arrived in Gujarat on his birthday, May 12, and graciously acknowledged the greetings, reposting many of the tweets. He also blew a conch, symbolizing purity and positivity.
Mangaljit Rai, GC member of NCUI, congratulated Sanghani, remarking, “Congratulations, sir, on your re-election as Chairman of IFFCO, a cornerstone of Indian cooperative success. Here’s to continued growth and prosperity for Indian farmers under your leadership.”
Similarly, Sunil expressed his wishes, stating, “Wished Sanghani ji by offering him flowers on his grand victory for the second time.” However, the pinnacle of celebrations awaited Sanghani upon his arrival in Gujarat. He received a warm welcome in Rajkot and Amreli for his re-election as the chairman of IFFCO.
At the Rajkot airport, local cooperators and BJP workers rushed to greet Sanghani, who graciously thanked them for their warm reception. A frenzy of excitement ensued as people clamored to garland him.
Upon reaching Amreli, Sanghani was honored at the BJP office by his supporters. It is noteworthy that state BJP President CR Patil had expressed dissatisfaction with the defeat of the BJP’s official candidate Vipin Patel by Jayesh Radadiya, placing blame on Sanghani.
In response, Sanghani defended democratic principles in cooperative elections, emphasizing Radadiya’s
electoral mandate. He clarified that since Vipin filed his nomination three days after Radadiya, the latter was unaware of the former’s candidacy.
Despite the controversy, Sanghani’s welcome in his hometown of Amreli was jubilant. A grand event awaited him upon arrival, marked by fireworks and the presence of family members, BJP officials, workers, and local cooperative leaders.
During his visit, Sanghani sought blessings at Dan Maharaj Devasthan, Chalala, and Sukhnath Mahadev Devsthan, expressing gratitude for his unopposed re-election to the post of IFFCO President for the second time.
