Bihar: Foundation day of Sudha dairy

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar  said his government would provide subsidy on grains to farmers associated with the Bihar State Milk Cooperative Federation Limited (COMFED).

“We have decided to give subsidy on purchase of grains to feed cattle. All the farmers assisting the COMFED will be the beneficiary of the scheme,” Kumar said while addressing a function on the 28th foundation day of the COMFED in Patna.

The subsidy of Rs two per kg of Sudha grains during the month of May and June, he said, adding  it would entail an expenditure of Rs 13 crore on the state exchequer.

Praising COMFED for its contribution in the field of dairy, Kumar stressed the need for more and more coverage of villages under COMFED for supplying milk and other dairy products.
