In a major push towards technology-driven growth in the cooperative and dairy sectors, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel launched Amul’s Artificial Intelligence (Amul AI) initiative in Anand on Wednesday.
The event was attended by Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shankarbhhai Chaudhary, Agriculture and Cooperation Minister Jitubhai Vaghani, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ramanbhai Solanki, Minister of State for Finance Kamleshbhai Patel, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) Chairman Ashok Chaudhary, MD Jayen Mehta, senior leaders from the cooperative sector, and other dignitaries.
The Amul AI digital platform is designed to directly benefit dairy farmers, particularly women milk producers across Gujarat. Through this initiative, farmers can now access guidance in Gujarati on crucial aspects such as animal health management, vaccination schedules, disease diagnosis and treatment, nutrition planning, and scientific breeding practices. The platform also offers comprehensive information about government schemes, subsidies, and various welfare programs related to dairy and animal husbandry.

The AI-powered application is expected to further strengthen Gujarat’s robust cooperative ecosystem and make it more efficient, transparent, and responsive.
During the event, women members of Amul from districts across Gujarat presented a large ceremonial Rakhi to the Chief Minister as a symbolic gesture of gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They expressed appreciation for several pro-farmer initiatives, including the India–USA bilateral trade agreement and the Union Budget 2026–27, which prioritizes strengthening the cooperative and dairy sectors.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister described the launch as a new technological milestone in Anand, the historic land of the White Revolution inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision.
He emphasized that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, technology-led reforms are transforming key sectors of the economy. The Amul AI initiative, he noted, represents a significant step towards modernizing agriculture, animal husbandry, and dairy while advancing the goal of a self-reliant India.
He further expressed confidence that under the guidance of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat’s cooperative sector will continue to play a crucial role in building an Atmanirbhar and developed India through innovation and technology-driven growth.
