Supplementing the visit of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to USA, Worlds Number One Cooperative, IFFCO has started exporting world’s 1st Nano Urea, invented & manufactured indigenously in India by IFFCO to USA. “An agreement in regard of exporting IFFCO Nano Urea to USA was signed between IFFCO & Kapoor Enterprises Inc, California”, reads a press release sent by IFFCO.
Nano Urea export to USA is a giant step towards realising PM’s dream of Sahkar Se Samriddhi & Atmanirbhar Bharat. A total of more than 5 Lakh bottles of IFFCO Nano Urea; innovation of the century is exported to more than 25 countries, says the co-op titan Thursday noon.
IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi also announced the development through his twitter wall, which was applauded by his followers.
One of his followers wrote, “Congratulations Sir. Your great vision and commitment will help the Nation become Atma Nirbhar in fertilizers with much better efficiency”.

The Indian Cooperative is also of the view that this is an important development in the growth of the Nano saga as the inventions accepted by the USA are ultimately accepted by the world.
Nano Urea increases the production with improved nutritional quality and also reduces chemical fertilizer usage. It has a huge impact on the quality of underground water and soil by reducing the water, air and soil pollution resulting in significant reduction in the global warming with a positive impact on climate change leading sustainable development. IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid has found to be effective and efficient for plant nutrition, claims the release.
IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi said, “This is an inspiration taken from the call of the Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi for reducing the use of Urea in the soil. The Nano Urea Liquid is indigenously developed after many years of dedicated and sincere research of IFFCO’s Scientists and Engineers through a proprietary technology developed at Nano Biotechnology Research Centre, Kalol”.
“IFFCO has also introduced Nano DAP Liquid and available to farmers worldwide. Nano DAP is an effective Solution for increasing Plant Productivity. It is cheaper than Conventional DAP. Safe and Non-Toxic for flora and fauna to use. It leads to significant reduction on dependence of Conventional DAP. It also reduces the wastage of money at all levels”, underlined the MD.
It is important to note that in a report by E&Y; a global consultancy said that “Green House Gas (GHG) saving from the usage of 5 bottles of Nano Urea is equivalent to 1 tree planted.” Also, in an another report by International Rice Research Institute stated that “As per the preliminary report submitted by Regional Rainfed Lowland Rice Research Station, Gerua (Assam), IRRI-ISARC trials (Kharif 2021); if India’s 50% of rice cultivation area is brought under Nano Urea, it will lead to reduction in Green House Gas (GHG) emission by ~ 4.6 million tonnes of CO2- equivalent.”
