Farmers loot urea in MP

truck-400The current shortage of urea fertiliser in Madhya Pradesh has angered farmers no end and especially in Guna the edgy farmers took the law into their own hands when they looted 150 bags of urea from trucks belonging to cooperative societies.

In Muraina, the agitated farmers pelted stones at the police station and forced the shopkeepers in the town to put up the shutters. Farmers have accused functionaries of cooperative societies of black-marketing urea.

According to reports pouring in, in several places across the state farmers are blocking highways and railway tracks to protest their extreme anger.

Sources say if urgent steps are not taken on time to ensure supply of urea, the things may spin out of control leading to a serious law and order situation in the state , underlined the sources.
