FACT revival package would be ready in 15 days: Minister

Ananth Kumar Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers has said the proposal of revival package for FACT would be ready in 15 days. The issue is under active consideration of his Ministry in consultation with the Union Finance Ministry, he said.

Kumar said the package will not only provide for revival of the Plant, but also its expansion. He said the Plant will add to the fertilizer security of the South India, and will be a big boon to the Kerala farmers.

Earlier, Kerala chief minister called on the Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers to discuss the issue of revival of FACT. Kerala Chief Minister was accompanied by other senior Cabinet Ministers of the State and Shri K. V. Thomas, former Union Minister.

The Secretaries of the Department of Chemicals and the Department of Fertilizers and other senior officers of the two Departments and the Kerala Government also took part in the meeting.
