Yadav’s felicitations continue; Boards of NCUI & NAFED greet him

Kribhco Chairman and Veteran Cooperator Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav is still being greeted and felicitated by National and State level cooperative bodies for winning the presidential election of ICA-AP in Seoul, North Korea.

The apex body of NCUI organized a function at its headquarters to felicitate Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav on Tuesday. The governing council of NCUI under the leadership of its Chairman Dileepbhai Sanghani assembled at the board room and one by one each member of GC congratulated Chandrapal Singh.

Yadav was felicitated with a shawl, a bouquet, and a memento, among other things. Kribhco MD Rajan Choudhary, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh, and other leading cooperators had also gathered to felicitate him.

Soon after the event, Sanghani tweeted, ” The felicitation ceremony for the newly elected Chairman of International Cooperative Alliance-Asia Pacific was held. Cooperation is that movement, which gives new thinking and new energy to solve the problems of ordinary human beings with a sensitivity towards society”.

Besides, Yadav was profusely garlanded and felicitated during the board meeting of Agri Cooperative-Nafed. Nafed Chairman Bijendra Singh, Nafed MD Sanjeev Chadha, and others were present on the occasion.

Earlier, the cooperative institutes of Gujarat under the leadership of Ghanshyambhai Amin, Chairman of Gujarat State Co-operative Union felicitated Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, eminent co-operative leader and Chairman of KRIBHCO for being elected as the first Indian President of International Co-operative Alliance (ICA-AP) with a landslide victory.

The special felicitation function and State Level Cooperative Seminar organized by GSCU was graced by Dr. Bijender Singh, Chairman NAFED, Dr.Sunil Kumar Singh, Vice Chairman NAFED, Sivadasan Nair, Chairman NCARDB, Ravindra Rav, Chairman NAFSCOB, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, and a host of other dignitaries.

Readers would recall that Chandra Pal polled 185 votes while his rival Chitose Arai of Japan polled only 83 votes. Yadav won by more than 102 votes, an unheard-of margin in international cooperative politics.

Chandra Pal created history as it is the first time that an Indian has grabbed the top post at ICA AP. Yadav has also become the vice president of global ICA through this election.
