Wedding in Sanghani family: Ahmedabad turns co-op capital

Gujarat’s capital Gandhinagar played host to cooperative leaders from across the country who assembled here on the occasion of the marriage of NCUI President Dileep Sanghani’s daughter on Wednesday.

The glittering event which was held at a farm house near Gandhinagar also saw the presence of several ministers of the state including Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Among the union ministers, Mansukh Mandaviya was one of the firsts to make it to the event. IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi was also the one who came early and left early blessing the couple.

Another Union Minister Parshottam Rupala, who is said to be a childhood friend of Sanghani came with his family and stayed for more than a couple of hours on this occasion.

Among the top co-operators, ICA AP President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav along with NAFED Chairman Bijender Singh could be seen blessing the couple. Sunil Singh came with his wife on the occasion.

Several top co-operators who belonged to Gujarat such as NAFCUB President Jyotindra Mehta, NAFCARD Chairman Dollar Kotecha, G H Amin and others were present on the occasion. GCMMF leaders were also present including its MD Jayen Mehta.

Since Sanghani is heading both NCUI and IFFCO, almost all the board members of the two co-op bodies were present on the occasion. Besides, Chairman of several apex co-op bodies such as NAFSCOB’s R Ravindra could be seen gracing the occasion.

Several women co-operators such as Arti Biseria, Alka Srivastava, Sadhana Jadav and others could be seen making the most of the occasion by posing for photographs in the attractive backdrop of wedding decorations.

True to his nature, Sanghani played the perfect host welcoming guests with warmth and heartiness. Guests, one after the other, posed with the couple and blessed them on the occasion. Indian Cooperative also joins others in extending its best wishes to the newlywed couple.
