Mirai Chatterjee, Chairperson, SEWA recently delivered Presidential Address in the national workshop “Strengthening Women Cooperatives” organized successfully by NCDC in collaboration with NCUI in Delhi.
On the sidelines of the event Indian Cooperative could catch up with Ms Chatterjee to know about SEWA. Founded in 1972 by Ela Bhatt, SEWA has grown into a 20 lakh strong organisation playing a pioneering role in socio-economic and political empowerment of women.
