UP: Yogi tightens screw on co-operative recruitment

The Yogi govt of Uttar Pradesh has tightened the screw on the irregular recruitments done during the rule of in Samajwadi party in the cooperative bodies. The latest news is that the irregular recruitment of assistant managers in UP Cooperative Bank will soon be cancelled. This will be carried out as per the legal opinion sought after the order of the Chief Minister in this regard.

It is to be noted that the recruitment was done during the Samajwadi Party regime in Uttar Pradesh.

The Agriculture Production Commissioner had examined the complaints against the former UP Cooperative Bank Managing Director Ravi Kant Singh. In the complaint the MD was accused of having indulged in irregular recruitment of 53 assistant managers in 2015.

It is being reported that for the posts of Assistant managers the aspirants’ educational qualifications should be 55% marks in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Post Graduate in Statistical or UGC or AICTE recognized MBA or CA but prior to advertising the posts the required qualifications were reduced to 50 percent.

During the recruitment process, Jyoti Shukla filed a petition in Lucknow High Court against the selection officer.

The Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) had asked PCF Managing Director Pramod Upadhyay to investigate the complaint. The investigating officer found the allegations right.

According to the investigation reports, APC had ordered the suspension of the then MD Ravi Kant Singh along with the order of cancellation of recruitment in the bank.
