Transforming India: Singh busy spreading good news

Carrying the pledge of Transforming India Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh is touring the country to spread the news of good work done by the Prime Minister and his team in the two years. Singh also interacted with students at Navsari Agri University, Gujarat in this connection while participating in Horti Sangam 2016.

“Two years after the Narendra Modi government came to power, it will continue with its outreach programme – this time with #TransformingIndia as its theme”, claimed Government sources.

Experts pat Modi government for several initiatives launched in the field of agriculture and cooperation. They point out at the launching of neem-coated urea which has reduced the incidence of black-marketing of urea in a big way.

Other initiatives which are discussed for their beneficiary impacts include PM’s crop insurance, concept of e-agri market, efforts to start DBT by launching pilot projects in fertilizer and many others.

Earlier, the Prime Minister started the two-year anniversary celebrations with a rally in Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. His ministers have fanned out across the country, where they are spend the day participating in public meetings – with beneficiaries of government schemes and intellectuals, among others.

A total of 33 teams are holding such interactions in 198 cities till June 15.

The list of Ministers touring the districts are interesting: Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj in Jaipur, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar in Chennai, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in Mumbai, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu in Bengaluru and Health Minister J P Nadda in PM’s constituency, Varanasi.
