A meeting of the National Urban Co-operative Finance and Development Corporation (NUCFDC) – the newly established Umbrella Organization for Urban Co-operative Banks (UCBs) was successfully hosted and organised on 20th August 2025 at the Head Office of Tirupati Urban Co-operative Bank, Nagpur.
The meeting was attended by the leadership of Tirupati Urban Co-operative Bank, including Chairman Prem Grover, Vice Chairman Ramesh N. Borkute, Senior Directors – CA B.K. Bajaj, CA Pranav Ade and CEO Sanjaayy Baanerji.
Chairpersons, Vice Chairpersons, CEO and senior officials from other Co-operative Banks of Nagpur like Wardhaman Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Nagpur Nagrik Sahakari Bank, Shikshak Sahakari Bank, Arvind Sahakari Bank Ltd., Sadhna Sahakari Bank attended the said programme.
The NUCFDC (Umbrella Organisation) was represented by its CEO Prabhat Chaturvedi, CTO Padma Bhushan Bahadure and Legal Manager Akshay Kadam.
During the meeting Chaturvedi shared insights about how they plan to address the challenges faced by UCBs across the country by explaining their vision, objectives and the range of products and services that they propose to provide to strengthen and support the Urban Co-operative Banks with focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 UCBs.
The session was highly successful with all the participants appreciating and acknowledging the initiatives taken by the Umbrella Organisation and recognizing the positive role NUCFDC will play in the future of UCBs.
Speaking on the occasion, Tirupati Urban Co-operative Bank’s leadership expressed pride in hosting this significant gathering and reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to strengthening the co-operative banking sector.
