Shahi accuses Sunil of playing politics on dead body

Biscomaun high-profile Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh has been accused of playing politics on the dead body of one of Biscomaun Directors Narendra Sharma who died recently. Vinay Kumar Shahi, the chairman of state cooperative union and a known detractor of Sunil says cooperative politics has touched a new low with the act of the Biscomaun Chairman.

The incident refers to the last week. The AGM of Bihar State Cooperative Union was planned on 28th January where the state cooperation minister Alok Mehta was the chief guest. Narendra Sharma a known Sunil loyalist died in the evening of 27th and according to Shahi his body was brought to disturb the AGM at the campus of state union office at the behest of Sunil Singh next day morning.

“But sensing the ulterior design I converted the entire AGM into a condolence meeting, said Shahi. Since he was a Biscomaun Director his body should have been taken to Biscomaun but this was not done. Sunil Singh did not even participate in his last rites leading to one of his own supporters Rad UDar Chaudhary openly hurling barbs at Sunil for his indifference. Chaudhary is a Chairman of Samastipur District Co-operative Bank, said Shahi.

Vinay Shahi said as soon as the body came at around 10.45 am-just 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the AGM we began to offer floral tributes to the departed cooperative leader thereby dashing Sunil’s hope of disrupting the meeting. I even asked those with the dead body to stay till the minister comes so that Shri Mehta too pays respect to the departed soul but they left in a great huff. Perhaps they sensed that the table had been turned.

“Narendra Sharma had been fighting cases with me but I do not carry the ill-will when one is dead. Despite being a supporter of Biscomaun Chairman, Sharma got a raw deal from the very people he supported all through his life”, Vinay stated.
