In what will forever be remembered as a golden day in the history of NCUI, the National Cooperative Union of India marked a landmark moment on Friday with the inauguration of the newly constructed floors of the NCUI Hostel Building.
The inauguration was carried out by NCUI President Shri Dileep Sanghani in the presence of several distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, President of ICA-AP; Dr. Bijender Singh; members of the NCUI Governing Council; IFFCO MD K. J. Patel; NCCF Chairman Vishal Singh; NCCF MD Anice Joseph; and several other esteemed invitees.
Together, they witnessed a milestone that reflects NCUI’s unwavering commitment to strengthening cooperative education and training facilities for the future.
The newly developed sections of the NCUI Hostel represent a significant advancement in infrastructure, capacity and quality. Designed and built with the support of NBCC, the upgraded structure showcases modern architecture, improved living amenities, and dedicated spaces for cooperative training, meetings and residential programmes.

Speaking on the occasion, Dileep Sanghani emphasized that the expansion of the hostel is not merely a construction milestone, but a strategic leap toward empowering India’s cooperative sector.
He noted that as the apex body of cooperatives, NCUI must continuously invest in strengthening institutions that support education, capacity building and leadership development. Sanghani added that today’s inauguration would be remembered as a turning point that infuses fresh momentum into NCUI’s mission.
The ground floor of the new building includes the NCUI Haat along with a hostel dining hall with a capacity of 80 persons. The first floor is set to house the NCCF office, while the second floor has been purchased by IFFCO. The building has a total of seven storeys, with a total built-up area of 6,393 sq. m.
Though most of the construction work has been completed, some finishing work is still pending. Officials said that the remaining tasks are expected to be fully completed by March 2026.
With this major development, NCUI has set a new benchmark for infrastructural excellence within the cooperative sector. The day stands out as one of the most significant moments in NCUI’s illustrious journey-a day that will be written in golden letters as it marks the beginning of a new chapter of progress, capacity enhancement and dedicated service to the cooperative movement of India.
