Enhancing the learning experience of trainees of “Certificate Course on Retail Management”, Dr A. K. Asthana, Director of ICM Bhopal has successfully published an android based mobile app ” Retail Management Made Easy”.
This is his third mobile app in digital space to push digitalization of cooperative training. Readers may recall that he had published India’s First mobile app on cooperative management three year back which had been covered by this news portal.
Dr A. K. Asthana, the publisher of mobile app informed that he had been conducting certificate programs for JCOs/ORs of Ministry of Defence since last five years. This program is based on NSDC curriculum of level 4.
Participants of this course are given fundamental knowledge of the retail sector which makes them employable in retail industry after their retirement from service. He informed that since they come to course from regimental work environment and again join units/ regiments for some years before retirement, it was found that they find it difficult to understand technical knowledge of retail industry and even more difficult to keep abreast of the latest knowledge on subjects after leaving the campus.
To solve this problem, the publisher took the route of digital platform where class room content was made available and difficult levels were solved with the help of visual images. Reach in design and standard content will certainly help the participants assure the publisher.
He also informed that in future this app will be made more interactive with the addition of relevant videos whose testing is already underway. He is also attempting to publish the same app on window store for the benefit of window mobile owners.
