Odisha: LINAC Bhubaneswar trains members of Primary Level Co-ops

Under the guidance of Sundeep Kumar Nayak, Managing Director, NCDC and Lt. Col. Bikramjit Singh, Chief Director, LINAC, Regional Training Center, LINAC, Bhubaneswar successfully organized 2nd module of online Training Program, reads a press release mailed by the organizers.

The program was hosted by LINAC, Gurugram and co-hosted by RTC, LINAC, Bhubaneswar.

Themed on “Business Development and Asset Management in Primary Level Cooperatives”, the programme spanned two days- 7th-8th July, 2020, informed the press note.

The training was conducted for 85 nominated participants from different Primary Level Cooperative Societies of Odisha representing different districts across sectors including agriculture, credit, textiles, fisheries etc.

Dr R.N. Gopal, Regional Director, NCDC, Bhubaneswar welcomed the faculties and participants of the training program and also briefed about the objective of the training program.

In his address, he emphasized on training needs of cooperative professionals of primary level cooperatives to develop concepts of Business Development and Asset Management to run the cooperative societies professionally with focus on nurturing primary level cooperative societies with the financial assistance from NCDC under Sahakar-22 vision of NCDC.

The training program was especially designed for Secretaries, Accountants, Cashiers etc. of Primary Level Cooperative Societies with special focus on women cooperators and women cooperative societies.

S.P. Rath, Ex- Regional Director of NCDC, Bhubaneswar, Bramhananda Parida, Dy. Secretary, Odisha State Cooperative Union Patanjali Tripathy, Retd. JRCS, Odisha & Dr. A. K. Roy, Ex-Principal, Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Lucknow, U.P addressed the training sessions during the two days.
