NCUI Prez greets the nation on I Day; Co-ops take out Tiranga Yatras

Cooperators across the country celebrated the 77th Independence Day with gusto and enthusiasm. On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ call, cooperators hoisted the National Tricolor at their respective places and some even took out the Tiranga Yatras.

“On the call of the Honorable Prime Minister, respected Shri Modi ji, participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the National flag at my Gandhinagar residence. Prime Minister’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has become a great campaign”, wrote NCUI President Dileepbhai Sanghani while greeting the cooperative fraternity a Happy Independence Day.

Greeting the Nation, ICA AP President and Kribhco Chairman Chandra Pal Singh Yadav wrote, “Salute to the Nation and best wishes to all my fellow co-operators on the joyous occasion of 74th Independence Day”.

On the Independence Day, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi was at Gujarat based Kandla Unit and hoisted the National Flag. He wrote, “Today, on the occasion of 77th Independence Day, I hoisted the National Flag at IFFCO Kandla Unit in the presence of the entire IFFCO family”.

The official twitter handle of dairy cooperative- Amul wrote, “This #IndependenceDay, #Amul celebrates the #WhiteRevolution which provides socio-economic empowerment to 3.6 million women dairy farmers across 18,600 villages and continues to make India #Atmanirbhar in the dairy sector”.

Nafcub President Jyotindra Mehta wrote on his facebook wall, “Vande Mataram”.

 Besides, on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, Chairman NDDB, Dr Meenesh Shah hoisted the National Flag at NDDB, Anand. NDDB employees along with their family members participated in the ceremony.

In his address, NDDB Chairman Shah highlighted the significant strides India has taken in the past 76 years and the significant role NDDB has played in that journey.

The agri cooperative lender NCDC employees hoisted the National Flag at the office premises and greeted the nation on the occasion of Happy Independence Day.

The apex body of dairy cooperatives- NCDFI wrote, “On this day of Independence, let us honour our wonderful nation. May the colours of our flag always remind us of the sacrifices that have been made and the unity that binds us. Happy Independence Day!”.

The National Cooperative Sugar Federation organized an event on this topic on the eve of our 77th Independence Day. It was followed by the speech of Managing Director, Prakash Naiknavare who concluded his speech saying, “Independence Day serves as a reminder that despite differences and diversity in our culture, language and tradition, we are all one nation; It is time to realize the dreams of our great Freedom Fighters and Nation Builders”.

The largest Urban Cooperative Bank of India Saraswat Bank wrote, “Happy Independence Day. As India goes to the Moon and beyond!”. Similarly, the Cosmos Bank and SVC Bank also extended the warm wishes through their social media platforms. Cosmos Bank wrote, “Cosmos Bank wishes all customers, account holders a very Happy Independence Day! Let’s pledge to serve the country selflessly”.

News from several state cooperatives were received by the desk of Indian Cooperative. Several state co-op unions and state level co-operators have sent pictures of the celebration. At the cooperators’ WhatsApp group known as “Bharatiya Sahakari Samvad” , they wished each other on the occasion. There were messages from different parts of the country as well as different sectors of co-operatives.

Another WhatsApp group run by Sahakar Bharati Karyakartas, known as “Bina Sahakar Nahi Sanskar” also greeted its members. There are three-four more WhatsApp groups run by co-operators of different regions recording countless reactions on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day.

Co-operators were also upbeat on the Prime Minister’s speech from the Red Fort, in which he laid great emphasis on the role being played by cooperatives in uplifting the downtrodden. Modi said cooperatives play a significant role in the economy of the country.

Indian Cooperative also joins everyone in greeting the nation on the occasion of the Independence Day.
