The plan by NCCF to shift to the NCUI headquarters at the Khel Gaon Marg in New Delhi is not materializing as the staff members are said to be opposed to the idea and they are finding one excuse or the other to defer the matter, sources confided to Indian Cooperative.
According to a highly placed source, even the Managing Director is reluctant to shift to the new location. The office of the Chairman and MD is at the top floor of NCUI’s main building while that for the general staff members is at the basement.
MD is said to have confided to close aides his unwillingness to shift but is shying away from saying so to the Chairman Bijender Singh known for his tactless utterances.
Several staff members are of the view that instead of shifting to basement the top management should have renovated its office space in Okhala if shifting from crowded Nehru Place was necessary.
Here to renovate the basement we would need not less than Rs one 
crore –an amount which would be needed to bring Okhala office in shape. But they are also hesitant to say so to the Chairman fearing his vituperative verbal attack.
What they do instead is to say that NCUI is yet to hand over the basement as some of its articles are lying here. NCUI sources say they have already given the key and have told them that we are not bothered about the worthless articles lying in the basement.
