The delegation from Punjab State Cooperative Bank and Jalandhar based Agriculture Cooperative Staff Training Institute visited the headquarters of Haridwar District Cooperative Bank in Roorkee on Wednesday.
The delegation comprises Punjab State Cooperative Bank Vice-Chairman Jasrat Singh Sandhu, Managing Director Hargunjit Kaur (IAS), Deputy General Manager Bhaskar Kataria, Additional Registrar Amarjeet, Jalandhar based Agriculture Cooperative Staff Training Institute Principal Dr S S Brar and others.
On their arrival, Haridwar DCCB’ one of the directors Susheel Rathi, General Manager/Secretary C K Kamal and others welcomed the delegation with bouquets and mementos. The exposure visit of the board members of Punjab State Cooperative Bank to several cooperatives of Uttarakhand was sponsored by Nabard.
During their two-day visit, the delegation also visited several primary level co-ops and one of the branches of Tehri Garhwal District Central Cooperative Bank branch, informed Punjab State Cooperative Bank Vice-Chairman Jaisrat Singh Sandhu.
“During the trip we have learnt a lot and seen the working style of cooperatives. The 10 DCCBs of the state are doing praiseworthy work in the interest of farmers. The delegation is highly impressed by their working”, he added on the phone.
Later on, in a press release sent to Indian Cooperative by Haridwar DCCB reads, ” On this occasion, Punjab State Cooperative Bank MD Hargunjit Kaur (IAS) conveyed thanks to the bank saying we have learned a great deal about the cooperatives”.
“The Bank’s director Sushil Rathi said that it is a matter of great pleasure that people working in the field of cooperatives from other states come to the bank and get information about the progress of the bank. CK Kamal, Secretary / General Manager briefed the delegation regarding the business and working of the Bank”, it further reads.
The business and functioning of the bank were appreciated by the delegation. Deputy General Manager of the bank Charan Singh, Chandramohan Singh, Section Officer Anil Kumar Pandey, Paramvir Singh Rawat, Branch Manager of Branch Chief Roorkee Omvir Singh and Ravi Pandey and others were present on the occasion.
