Reviewing the response of the working of Sahara Portal, floated to help the victims reclaim their money, the Union Ministry has reassured them not to get disheartened and follow certain steps to secure their money.

It bears recalling that a large number of Sahara depositors were complaining about the lack of efficacy of the process and also wrote several emails to the Indian Cooperative desk seeking our intervention in making the ministry aware of the issue.

An alert ministry has now come out with toll-free numbers where one can call to remove deficiencies in his form submission. These are: 1800 103 6891 / 1800 103 6893

Using the medium of effective social media platform, the Ministry has posted this for helping victims:

Excerpts:

 “Attention depositors!

If there are one or more deficiencies in your refund application, don’t worry.

You can resubmit your application by correcting the deficiencies pointed out on the re-submission portal launched by CRCS, ensuring a smooth process.

For this, you should re-submit the refund application after removing all the shortcomings of the earlier application. Portal Link: https://mocresubmit.crcs.gov.in

The portal will process your re-submitted application within 45 working days. Use the portal for re-submission after correcting all deficiencies of each claim. Only online claims will be considered through the portal.

For technical support, contact the Society’s toll-free numbers: 1800 103 6891 / 1800 103 6893”

Recently, amidst Sahara investors’ protest against the central government, Union Minister of State for Cooperation B.L.Verma claimed that an amount of Rs 214 crore has been released to 2,33,742 depositors of cooperative societies linked to the Sahara Group.

Verma said this while addressing the Sahakar Bharati’s National Conference on Credit Cooperatives on Saturday at ICAR, Pusa, New Delhi.

“In a bid to help the Sahara investors, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah launched ‘CRCS Sahara Refund Portal’ for disbursal of legitimate dues of the genuine depositors of cooperative societies of the Sahara Group”, he added.

But since many depositors were not able to get back their money due to technical illiteracy, the Ministry has renewed its efforts to help them out.
