Launching Cooperative Complaint Board

Indian Cooperative is being visited by one lakh people every day from the month of August. It means 3 million people per month. To make it truly interactive we wish to start Cooperative Complaint Board.

In Cooperative Complaint Board you can write your complaints related to any cooperative organization and we would publish them unedited.

We do not guarantee a solution. What we do guarantee is drawing the attention of those who matter as they visit the site.
Let me tell you why we felt the need for a cooperative complaint board.

Our office receives numerous mails in which readers complain about this organization or that. They also bear grudges against the heads of cooperative organizations many a time. We have been racking our brains how to use them.

We cannot allow unsubstantiated charges to be published on behalf of Indian Cooperative. But we also did not like disappointing our readers with no publication or lack of progress on his complaints.

Complaint Board was the answer. Your views would be published and you would be solely responsible for them. Since Indian Cooperative lacks the resources to make an enquiry into each complaint, it avoids leveling charges from its end.

We never forget that the media has to be primarily people-centric. Indian Cooperative was an effort to erect a platform for the cooperative sector hitherto ignored by the mainstream media for a host of reasons. We are happy that in a short span of two years Indian Cooperative has begun attracting 2.5 million readers a month.

We feel we have not made much of an impact. Vested interests are deeply entrenched. They are jittery but not yet down and out. What is true of Indian society in general is true of cooperatives.

Revolution does not happen all of a sudden. Intellectual fermentation precedes it. The process of knowing the truth, its analysis and the resultant anger among people gradually makes a society ripe for a change.

We are in an early phase. We have been successful so far. Let us hope to be so in future too.
