Indiancooperative .com feels tempted to report about an experiment in cooperation accomplished by a woman who is inspired by RSS in Jamtara district in Jharkhand. Jamtara is about 200 Km from Ranchi the capital of Jharkhand.

The woman RSS worker Geeta Devi popularly known as ‘Didi’ is the head of Jamtara District Sahakar Bharati, an RSS cooperative organization. She is always active training women in the area and giving them opportunities to earn 4 to 5 thousand rupees a month.

Didi has established a chain of more than 35 Self Help Groups of women -each group consisting of 11-12 women. The women are trained to produce Agarbatti, Handwash, Detergent Powder, Mushrooms and other similar articles. The cooperative department of Jharkhand is helping the initiative.

Didi told Indiancooperative correspondent on the phone that she has plans to open Ice-Cream Plant factories and Dairy Farms in the district at a cost of over 25 lakhs rupees. She has already prepared the blue print for all this and is currently looking for investors. She is confident it will transform the lives of women.

Women are trained through multiple training programs and these programme are organized by Sahakar Bharati and the State Bank of India.

A source is quoted saying the articles produced by SHG groups are sold under the brand ”SahakarBharati” The women members are also taking care of marketing their products through a network of grocery shops in the area.
