A high-level delegation from the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), led by its Chairman Dileep Sanghani and Vice Chairman Balvir Singh, along with Managing Director K. J. Patel and senior officials, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, in Lucknow on Friday.

The meeting highlighted IFFCO’s continued efforts toward empowering farmers and promoting cooperative development in India. The discussions revolved around the cooperative movement’s contribution to rural prosperity, IFFCO’s innovative farmer-centric initiatives, and the growing success of its pioneering Nano Fertiliser technology, which has been hailed as a game-changer for Indian agriculture.

During the interaction, Sanghani apprised the Chief Minister of the far-reaching benefits of Nano Urea and Nano DAP, eco-friendly, low-cost alternatives to conventional fertilisers that have shown remarkable results in boosting crop yield, reducing input costs, and preserving soil health.

The team also discussed strategies to enhance farmer awareness about these next-generation products and promote their adoption across Uttar Pradesh’s agricultural heartland.

IFFCO sources said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appreciated IFFCO’s ongoing efforts in supporting farmers through innovation and cooperation. He stressed the importance of ensuring the timely and adequate supply of fertilisers across the state, especially ahead of the upcoming Rabi season. The Chief Minister also shared valuable insights on strengthening cooperative institutions as engines of inclusive growth and rural empowerment.

Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, IFFCO Chairman Sanghani said that IFFCO remains fully committed to the welfare of farmers in Uttar Pradesh and across India. “We are inspired by the Chief Minister’s guidance to further strengthen our cooperative efforts and take the benefits of Nano Fertilisers to every farmer in the state,” he remarked.

Vice Chairman Balvir Singh and MD K. J. Patel reiterated IFFCO’s mission to align its operations with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Krishi, emphasizing sustainability and self-reliance in the farm sector.

In a press release, IFFCO said that IFFCO, the world’s largest fertiliser cooperative, continues to play a pivotal role in transforming India’s agricultural landscape through innovation, digital outreach, and farmer education. Its initiatives like Nano Urea and Nano DAP have already reached millions of farmers nationwide, setting a global benchmark for sustainable and cooperative-driven agricultural growth.

With the assurance of continued partnership from the Uttar Pradesh government, the meeting concluded on a note of mutual commitment to the vision of Sahakar Se Samriddhi, prosperity through cooperation, claimed the release.
