IFFCO has huge brand value in Bihar: Biscomaun Chairman

“I believe we have returned the faith reposed in us by IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi,” said Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh on the issue of sticking to the price-line set by the fertilizer cooperative for selling urea in Bihar.

“I am short of words to express my thanks to Awasthiji but I am happy to have fulfilled his desire to sell urea at a price not exceeding Rs 302 per bag”, Singh said to Indian Cooperative after he returned from a long sojourn in Europe.

”There is a scramble for IFFCO urea in the states because of its high quality, farmers are queuing up for it. To tell you the truth, there was a queue of about half a kilometer yesterday in Vikram Ganj to buy IFFCO urea”, said Sunil who keeps himself posted with the latest developments through his field staff.

”Keeping IFFCO‘s terms in mind we have in fact priced it a rupee lower at Rs 301 a bag. We are not earning any profit but the goodwill we earn in the process is priceless,” said Sunil.

Comparing the Oman urea imported by Kribhco and sold by Biscomaun in the state, the state marketing cooperative federation chairman said” farmers of the state value IFFCO urea more because of its fine granules compared to that of Oman.”

In a lighter vein he said” though I am on the board of Kribhco but I sing praise of IFFCO. Whether you like it or not IFFCO has a huge brand value”, he concluded. Later he explained that Bihar is not a selling point of Kribhco and that is why he had to seek IFFCO’s help.
