Height of inefficiency in a Co-op Bank of AP!

A customer named Shiva residing at Thirumalayapalem in Khammam District of Andhra Pradesh had a bad experience with the local District Central Cooperative Bank. Shiva reportedly issued a cheque for Rs 30000 and the DCCB of Thirumalayapalem transferred the aforesaid amount two times on the same cheque.

When the Shiva noticed this double transaction, he met the bank manager and apprised him of what had happened. Instead of taking necessary action, the bank manager asked the customer to meet the manager of the main branch saying the mistake was committed there.

As the customer had his account with the Thirumalayapalem branch of the bank, how could the main branch be involved in it, asks the victim.

Actually, the branch manager was double-crossing the customer and trying to cheat him of his money, alleges Shiva.

Meanwhile, the customer has repeatedly asked the bank to explain to him how this double transaction was carried out but the bank had yet to give him any explanation.

Since it is a willful act of fraud, it demands punishment, he stated.

Thirumalayapalem is a Sub-District in the Khammam District of Andhra Pradesh. There are about 45 sub-districts in Khammam and Thirumalayapalem is one of them.
