In a significant boost to India’s cooperative landscape, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), one of the country’s oldest and most influential industry associations, has appointed Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO, as the Chairman of its Cooperative Committee. Sanghani formally assumed charge at PHDCCI’s Delhi office today, i.e. Wednesday.
The event was marked by a warm felicitation ceremony attended by Dr. Jatinder Singh, Rupesh Pandey, Tarun Bhargava, Dushyant Singh Punia, and NCUI Director Pradeep Kumar, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanghani underlined the growing importance of Cooperative-Corporate synergy in driving Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
He said that partnerships between cooperatives and corporates would take “Sahakar Se Samriddhi” to the next level, paving the way for inclusive and sustainable economic growth across rural and agricultural India.
A veteran of India’s cooperative movement and former Cabinet Minister of Gujarat, Sanghani has played a transformative role in leading premier institutions such as NCUI, IFFCO, and Gujcomasol. His new role at PHDCCI is expected to usher in a fresh era of collaboration and reform in the cooperative sector.
Meanwhile, sharing the proud moment, IFFCO’s official social media handle posted, “A moment of pride and recognition for IFFCO as Hon’ble IFFCO Chairman, Shri Dileep Sanghani Ji, is being appointed as Chair – Committee on Cooperatives, PHDCCI, and was felicitated by Dr. Jatinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General, PHDCCI; Rupesh Pandey, Senior Secretary, PHDCCI; and Tarun Bhargava, Senior General Manager, IFFCO at the Delhi office.”
