Fighting corruption: Sunil dares Nitish govt and its Babus

Biscomaun Chairman Dr Sunil Kumar Singh has dared the state govt to follow Biscomaun’s example and organize farmer-centric facilities in a corruption-free manner as Bicomaun does. His take on the Social media on the issue is receiving a broad support.

Biscomaun Chairman titled his piece as “Open challenge to the leaders and officers of the Bihar govt”. And he dares them to come up with a transparent method like Biscomaun in the matters of seed-subsidy or diesel subsidy, given to farmers in the state.

Can you publish the names and phone numbers of the Principle Secretary and five officers below him of the concerned department in the newspapers and ask the poor farmers to seek immediate help in case of exploitation or demand for bribe?, Sunil’s FB post asks.

Hurling barbs at the so-called “Seven Principles of Governance” being propagated by the JDU-BJP combine in the state, Biscomaun Chairman says the mukhiyas and others would soon come to know of the truth of these seven principles once they are given access to the phone numbers of top babus of the state.

It bears recall that Biscomaun has continuously been advertising in newspapers regarding the transparent manner of its urea sale through more than 145 counters. “If anyone at the sale centre is caught charging extra money-even a pai more- strict action will be taken against him”, reads its advt. The advt also adds that whistle-blowers will be rewarded with Rs 1000. The fixed rate of Rs 265/- per bag has become sacrosanct for Biscomaun, said a cooperator.

Interestingly, Biscomaun also rewarded a farmer Brij Mohan Singh from Kuchaiko block, Gopalganj last year for exposing one such case, recalls Sunil.

Later in his FB post Biscomaun Chairman grows cautious and says “I cannot speak more than this or else the corrupt officials of the state would try to implicate me in one false case or the other. I am already named in PF case of 1975 when I was studying in class 4”, he added satirically.

Talking to Indian Cooperative on his explosive post Biscomaun Chairman clarified “My humble request to the govt is to adopt a transparent method of governance as we have attempted at Biscomaun; this will benefit the farmers immensely”, said Sunil who denied having any intention of entering electoral politics.
