Cooperators observe 70th R’ Day with enthusiasm

As Indian might was on display on the Rajpath, so was the zest of cooperators on the occasion of Republic Day. News have poured in from across the country about cooperative leaders celebrating the 70th Republic Day with a great enthusiasm.

In his message on the occasion, National Cooperative Union of India President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav said “On this day I urge fellow cooperators to take an oath to take cooperative movement to the newer heights. Happy Republic Day”.

IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi wished the country through social media and wrote, “My Best Wishes & Greetings of 70th#RepublicDay to everyone. Let’s take a pledge to empower our #farmers & increase our #agriculture output in terms of quality & quantity for better #foodsecurity. Let’s change the lives of our #farmer who work hard to ensure food for us. #IFFCO”.

NAFCUB President Jyotindrabhai Mehta hoisted National Flag at Gujarat based Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank along with other eminent dignitaries. Mehta and his team also helped organized an interstate sports competition among co-operative banks in Ahmadabad on this occasion.

GCMMF MD R S Sodhi conveyed his good wishes to farmers on the occasion of the Republic Day. Talking to Indian Cooperative Sodhi vowed once again to try his bit to double farmers’ income.

Banas Dairy Chairman Shankar Chaudhary also wrote on social media, “Warm #Republic Day greetings to everyone. Let us ensure India remains a vibrant and diverse republic as envisioned by our freedom fighters”.

News of the celebrations by cooperators also came in from Bihar, Uttarakhand, Chattisgarh and other parts of the country. Dileep Sanghani, Nafscob President also unfurled the tricolor on the occasion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his tributes to the martyrs by laying a wreath at Amar Jawan Jyoti before the start of the parade in the presence of Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the three service chiefs.

Indian Cooperative joins the nation and co-operators in wishing a happy Republic Day to the countrymen. Long live India and long live cooperative movement!
