Co-operators across the world have congratulated Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav for winning the Presidential post of ICA-AP with a huge majority. The news of his victory spread like wildfire on social media.
ICA President Ariel Guarco wrote, “Congratulations @drcsinghyadav for being elected new president of @ICAAPAC! I am looking forward to working together with you to strengthen the co-op movement in Asia Pacific and at a global stage”.
NCUI President Dileepbhai Sanghani wrote, ” Congratulations to @drcsinghyadav ji, Chairman, KRIBHCO, on being elected as the President of the ICA-Asia Pacific”.
IFFCO MD Dr. U S Awasthi wrote on his Twitter wall, “Heartiest Congratulations to Dr. Chandrapal Yadav @drcsinghyadav for winning the elections against the candidate of Japan at ICA @icacoop General Assembly in Seoul and becoming the Chairman of ICA-AP.

ICA-AP Regional Director Balu Iyer said, ” Congratulations to @drcsinghyadav on being elected Chairperson of @ICAAPAC! We look forward to his guidance and leadership in strengthening cooperatives in the Asia-Pacific region!
The apex body NCUI wrote, “Congratulates the visionary @drcsinghyadav on being elected as the President of @ICAAPAC during the ICA-AP elections held today in Seoul”.
The official Twitter handle of fertilizer cooperative Kribhco wrote, ” Heartiest congratulations bouquet to Hon’ble Chairman @drcsinghyadav on achieving landslide victory & becoming first Indian to head @ICAAPAC as president. Entire family of KRIBHCO is extremely proud of this feat & we wish him a very fruitful term as president of @ICAAPAC.
Gujarat State Cooperative Union Chairman GH Amin also extended his heartfelt greetings and wrote, “It’s a matter of pride for the Cooperative Movement, that a leader from India has become the President of ICA-AP for the first time.
NCCF former Chairman Virendra Singh wrote, ” Congratulations Bhai sahab. It’s a great achievement for the Indian cooperative movement. Proud to be associated and share the cooperative moment with Chandrapal ji”.
Vamnicom Director Hema Yadav wrote, ” @drcsinghyadav Heartiest Congratulations for becoming President of ICAAP @ICAAPAC. It’s a big achievement and we feel proud of it @VAMNICOM_Pune”.
The WhatsApp group known as “Bharatiya Sahakari Samvad” comprises cooperators across the country who greeted Yadav.
Similarly, another WhatsApp group run by Sahakar Bharati Karyakartas, known as “Bina Sahakar Nahi Sanskar” also congratulated Yadav. There are three-four more WhatsApp groups run by co-operators of different regions who congratulated Dr. Yadav on his victory.
It bears recall that Chandra Pal polled 185 votes while his rival Chitose Arai of Japan polled 83 votes. Yadav won by more than 102 votes, an unheard-of margin in international cooperative politics.
