The Cooperative Bank of India (COBI) organized a comprehensive training programme for KRIBHCO personnel at its head office in Noida last week. The objective of the programme was to improve employee performance and deepen their understanding of cooperative values and management practices.

The session was inaugurated by Dr. V.K. Dubey, Managing Director of COBI, and D.K. Yadav, Senior Manager (HR).

In his address, Dr. Dubey highlighted the importance of training in enhancing human competency and behavior to foster a positive working environment within cooperative institutions. He emphasized the need for employees to be well-acquainted with the functioning, responsibilities, and cooperative philosophy of the organization.

D.K. Yadav also shared his insights on the importance of education and training programmes in boosting organizational performance. He emphasized that the HR department plays a crucial role in developing skilled and well-informed personnel, which is essential for the success of cooperative institutions.

During the programme, expert faculty conducted sessions on several key topics. One session focused on cooperative thoughts and their impact on employee performance, highlighting how cooperative values can enhance motivation, responsibility, and productivity among staff.

Another session addressed the recent amendments in the MSCS Act and discussed their implications for KRIBHCO and other cooperative organizations, helping participants stay updated with the latest regulatory developments.

A detailed session on cooperative management provided insights into KRIBHCO’s operational framework and strategies for effective and efficient functioning within the cooperative model.

The programme also included a discussion on government initiatives by the Ministry of Cooperation, outlining how these efforts support and strengthen the cooperative movement nationally.

Lastly, a session on the application of information technology in cooperative organizations demonstrated how digital tools can improve both organizational productivity and individual performance.

At the valedictory session, participants appreciated the selection of relevant topics and the expertise of the speakers. They noted that the training offered practical and valuable insights applicable to their daily roles. Many shared that it was their first exposure to such a comprehensive and innovative programme.

Encouraged by the positive feedback, KRIBHCO officials expressed their intent to incorporate this training module into all future induction programmes. They extended their heartfelt thanks to COBI for organizing such a successful and meaningful initiative.
