Co-ops active in making films on Indian heritages

There is no doubt that co-ops in our country are active in almost every sector but the formation of a unique co-op for making the web series or serial, is a novel initiative taken by a few Gujarati co-operators.

Two leading cooperators of Gujarat namely Maheshbhai Patel, Chairman, Sabarkantha District Central Cooperative Bank and his elder brother who resides outside the country Manubhai Patel had formed a ‘Shri Prannath Multi Media Processing Co-op Society’ in 2015 with an objective to make the web series or serials on the historical heritage for creating awareness about the history among the common men.

Earlier, the Multi-Media cooperative released a TV Serial on ‘Shri Prannath’ and now on 29th July, the society released a historical web series on the Life of Chhatrasal which contains 20 episodes and it is available on MX Player APP.

Talking with the Indian Cooperative correspondent on the phone Maheshbhai Patel said, we have seen there is a lack of knowledge among the students and common man about many historical heritages, which has not been introduced in education.

“Our Multi Media Processing Co-op is working on it and presenting the untold stories in the form of web series or serial to reach masses”, he said, who is associated with the co-op movement for the past 11 years.

Patel further added ”Recently we have released a web series namely Chhatrasal which is available on MX Player and getting good response and feedback from the people.

Patel is full of ideas and said the team is planning to make a web series on the cooperative sector in which we will highlight the role of the co-op sector in the economy of the country.

“We will soon start work on it and hope that it will be a great source for containing knowledge about co-operative”, Patel underlined.

”Perhaps according to me there is no co-operative which is involved in this work and we are the one in our country. We are also planning to register this co-op under the Multi State co-op act,” he added, who was also the former chairman of Sabar dairy.
