Co-op Festival: Biscomaun dolls up as a bride

Biscomaun-the nerve centre of the cooperative festival scheduled to kick off later this month is all dolled up and ready for the show. This will be the first time when India’s cooperators will gather in a huge congregation in Bihar’s capital Patna. An excited Chairman of the cooperative body Sunil Singh keeps sending one photograph after another to Indian Cooperative desk.

In the latest photograph Biscomaun–located at the heart of Patna near Gandhi Maidan is seen wearing lights of various colours like a bride awaiting the arrival of the groom.

“This is just a trial. You would see it ready from the evening of 24th with lights and mega gates all in place”, said Sunil to Indian Cooperative. Readers would note that the main function is on 27th February.

An excited Chairman also made this correspondent hear a new cooperative song on the phone. A 5.32 minutes song- lyrical and catchy has been composed for the occasion. Girls numbering 20 are rehearsing in Patna so that they could present an impressive performance in the S K Memorial Hall on the occasion.

Sunil Singh has also been able to rope in Usha Singh- a highly placed railway official with gifted voice to sing the cooperative song.” We intend to showcase the culture of the state as many participants are coming from different parts of the country. They should also know what it means to be in Bihar”, said Sunil with a touch of pride in his voice.

“We are organizing the event with professional approach as there would be three kinds of people at the function. They would wear badge of different colours. For PACS Chairmen we have blue badge ; for organizers there would be red and for guests it would be yellow”, Sunil said giving details of his preparations.

The function is going to attract several Cabinet Ministers along with top-notch cooperators of the country.
