Biscomaun earns impressive profits; announces 10% rise in salaries

Bihar marketing cooperative federation, Biscomaun organized its 34th Annual General Meeting last week in Patna in the presence of Surendra Prasad Yadav, who recently took charge as the new cooperative minister of Bihar.

Speaking on the occasion, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh announced that the cooperative has earned a profit of Rs 18 crore in the last financial year.

On this occasion, Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh demanded that the marketing cooperative be officially recognized as a state agency for the procurement of urea, pulses, oilseeds etc.

“With this, Biscomaun will ensure that farmers will not face the shortage of urea as well as get the fertilizer at remunerative prices. 175 farmers service centres, distributed 1.50 lakh tonne urea and 8500 nano urea bottles to the farmers”, Sunil Kumar Singh informed the gathering present on the occasion.

Patting himself on the back, he further asserted that in Biscomaun 700 youths are working, out of which 218 got employment this year. And announced a 10 percent hike in their salary from 1st September 2022.

Meanwhile, addressing the participants, the Minister lauded the efforts of Biscomaun in providing urea to the farmers at Rs 265.

He further added that for empowering the farmers we will soon develop a system to provide MSP to farmers for all crops. Besides, the state government will also provide all help to the farmers.

Biscomaun Vice-Chairman Gopal Giri, MLA Jitendra Kumar, Vinay Kumar, Bihar State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ramesh Chandra Chaubey, Bihar State Cooperative Federation Chairman Vinay Shahi, Mahesh Rai, Ram Kelevar Prasad and others were present in the meeting.

Soon after the AGM, Sunil who is also the Vice-Chairman of agri giant Nafed, left for Toronto, Canada to attend World Pulses and Special Crops Convention 2022. Nafed Chairman Bijender Singh and another Board member Dr Chandra Pal Singh have also gone to attend the event.
