Under the aegis of The Una District Cooperative Development Federation, Sehkar Bharati organized a seminar in Himachal Pradesh at Una on the “Cooperative economic development model and diversification of cooperative activities”. Seminar was inaugurated by Vishnu Bobarare, national co-organizing Secretary. Vijay Diwagan of Sehkar Bharati and Shri Rajinder Sharma, chairman of Regional Institute of Cooperative Management, Chandigarh were also present.
In his address Mr. Sharma stressed the need for the diversification of cooperative activities to strengthen their economy for the better service of people .He called upon the unemployed educated youths to organize their cooperative societies to do business and other professional activities to generate employment and their income resources.
Vishnu Bobare in his speech said that the capitalism and socialism models of economy had weakened our economy. Our country was prosperous and rich and its economy was based on cooperative concept. Present rampant corruption, usability and inflation could only be checked with the cooperative based decentralization of economy.
He said that unemployment problem of 20 crores youths in our country could only be solved through cooperative.
Vijay Diwagan in his address mentioned the 97th constitutional amendment which gave fundamental right to form cooperative society. He said that now states should come out to amend their laws to promote the cooperative societies.
He highlighted the role of Sehkar Bharati in the country to promote the cooperatives in all spheres of life to uplift the socio-economic status of people. He said that concept of cooperative movement is, for the people, by the people on the democratic system which should be ensured for the healthy economic growth.
In this seminar prominent cooperators of Una district actively participated and shared their views. Shri Susheel Kaushal, North Zone Regional organizer, Shri Pawan Sankhyan, State organizer of Himachal Pardesh and Shr.I Pankaj Sahore district President of Sehkar Bharati were also present on this occasion.
