Indian dairy cooperative giant Amul has announced financial support for the Indian contingent to the upcoming Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the 17th Asian Games in South Korea. The dairy cooperative has signed an MOU with the Indian Olympics Association.
Amul has earlier supported several sports events in the country including football and cricket.
R.S. Sodhi MD GCMMF is quoted as saying Amul had sponsored the Indian contingent for the 2012 London Olympics where the country did exceptionally well.
Talking to Indian Cooperative Sodhi said that emphasis on sports activities does good to the country and that is why Amul is mostly in the forefront of supporting Indian contingent.
