Wife being member, may I contest election?

Anuj Goel

I am in Delhi, residing in CGHS society.  I want to contest for office bearer post but my wife is the legal owner of the flat .

1) Can husband contest election just by becoming associate member?

2) What is the procedure and maximum time allotted to existing bearers to accept or reject such request? On what legal grounds this can be rejected?

I C Naik
