My dad has gifted me his house as through gift deed we stay in Thane. I wanted to know about that. Do I have to pay any amount to society for transfer of name or any other formalities?

You need to register the gift deed with Registrar as Immovable has changed the owner, but Society cannot ask any money besides new membership entry fee of Rs 100/-
