What if a co-op has no president for one year?

G B Singh

My query relates to Delhi state cooperative group housing society.

1.Is there any provision for the post of joint secretary in such society.

2.The society has no president for the last one year.  For how long it can be possible like this.

3.Can the vice-president officiate as president of the society without a resolution passed in the general body meeting.

4.The secretary is also absent for more then six months. Now he has sold his flat in march month last and no other secretary is appointed.  Can the decisions taken by the committee be said as valid in absence of the president and secretary.

Your expert reply shall be appreciated.  Thank u.

You will need to buy a copy of your Bye laws from the Society Office. Correct answers will be found there in. Without President Secretary  how long a Committee can function is also provided in the Bye laws.  Vice Chairman taking Chairman’s seat automatically in his absence can also be provided in the Bye Laws.
